Fair point

I didn't mean it in a negative sense though. It's just so far away :P

MRU is really not Africa, although the F in the ICAO code FIMP suggests it belongs to 'southern Africa'.
South Africa is indeed un-African in some sense as it is more like Australia or Europe.

Indeed, CPT is not suitable for regular A380 services, but it is for incidental cases such as emergency landings or diversions.

Looks like we now know where the next US cities for Emirates will be with Denver most likely coming first.

For example, we have a strategic focus in Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Denver. We have a strategic focus on Denver because we see significant volumes on Alaska from a market like this via Seattle. That has also a quite an impact on our sales approach because we’re going to focus more on these regions and also deploy more resources.

Yes, I am pretty sure about that. You will see Phoenix right after Denver or Las Vegas. It's logical choice.

It still boggles my mind how BOS in the timespan of a few years can go from no direct MENA service to two 77W flights per day! Not to mention an upgrade to a A380...

Why AMS? Wouldn't MAD or BCN a more logical choice?
