I have had DXB/LGW once, I think. Never the other way around.

I have a saver booked for a flight in a few weeks which at the moment has only flex+ tickets available so might get lucky. Never flown into London on a saver before though so dont have comparable data..

Flights to the U.K. from now until Sunday are crazy busy. At check in today was told flight was overbooked by four and that I was the only Plat in Y. The check in agent also stated that Plats no longer have priority and it goes off fare type first and status is only used to determine the priority of individuals on the same ticket.

This seemed to be correct with my seat remaining in Y until very late. Boarding pass finally changed on the app at time of boarding. So I had an op-up on a saver ticket which goes against what the agent said.

Maybe the policy is due to change in the future but hasnt yet or maybe he was just misinformed.

he is wrong, its IO/plats (within fare type for plat) first and then fare type with highest status, so saver Plat should trump Gold flex
