in flight meal schedule - where to find
 

We are flying from JFK to Bali through DXB on emirates business class.
We depart JFK at 11pm and will have a 12 hour overnight 8pm to 8am layover in dubai.

Is there someplace that notes when the various meal services will be served on our flights? i.e. Do we get dinner right after takeoff or before landing, etc?

I can't remember from our previous flight if this even mattered since they may just serve you when you're ready. I just want to plan on how much to eat before flights or while in the lounge, etc so I'm not too stuffed to enjoy the food onboard.

You can go to the EK website, put your flight number in and it will show you the menu in the order it's served. AFAIK only F passengers dine whenever they want but I could be wrong. It could be J also eats when they want the difference being J has a set menu served in order while F can have anything off the menu in any order at any time.

I did this, but it only shows you the menu. I'm trying to figure out the timing of in flight services.
for instance: If we depart JFK at 11pm, do we get breakfast or lunch a few hours after taking off and dinner before landing? Do we get a late midnight dinner after takeoff?

When we depart dubai at 8AM to go to Denpasar will we be served breakfast first thing on the plane or should we plan on hitting up the lounge in dubai before takeoff?

Breakfast is terrible on board so I'd eat in the lounge.

The menu is on the what's on my flight feature within the month of travel.

So, no idea how to know what the service schedule is for my flights? just thought I'd repost and check one more time. thanks

Your post is ambiguous and FTers jump on the chance of a tangential discussion.

I recommend posting your specific flight numbers and asking at what time after departure you can expect meals to be served.

the timings are there, so flight numers are: jfk-dxb ek202 and dxb-dps ek398

IIRC, you receive breakfast & lunch on the dxb-dps and dinner & breakfast on ek202

Not what the OP was asking. Which meals are severed can be seen on the website, OP is asking when in the flight the meals are served. Goes back to my point about ambiguity and tangents

You can work it out from the menus as they are printed in service sequence order; OP asked:

The menu for JFK-DXB EK202 is Dinner - Light Bites - Breakfast: after take off there will be a dinner service straight away (well...about 2-3hours), then it is expected everyone will sleep but there are Light Bites available, probably around 6-8 hours later. Breakfast is served around 2 hours before landing.

For DXB-DPS EK398 it's Breakfast - Lunch for a 9hr flight, so that is Breakfast after take off (2hrs in) and then Lunch before landing as normal.
