Travelling this weekend first leg y then second leg j.
Can i avail of lounge in jnb or only in dxb where my j leg starts?
Also i see j is full on my flight do they ever offer airport paid upgrades to F from Y?

DXB only, unless you are guested in at JNB/have status.

You can always upgrade if space available - they'll probably charge you the fare difference though ;) It's unlikely but not impossible there are special offers on - if J is overbooked a controller may have already earmarked people for upgrades.

Not sure what "BA Amex PP" is, eiflyer, but there's a SLOW Lounge in JNB International departures which can be used by certain credit card holders regardless of flight, and is used by BA Status pax, but I think you have to be on a BA flight, so chances are you won't have access, but no harm in checking it out.

I got an FNB Commercial Platinum card for just two of the perks: free SLOW Lounge access and free travel insurance. At 4$ a month a no-brainer really.
