Head of Family
 

I see that Emirates bonuses Head of Family on the points that earned by the family members flying with you. I have booked my family in Biz class from JNB to JFK via DXB this summer. It will be my first flight on Emirates that is actually mileage accruing.

How do I designate myself as head of household to capture the bonus? Also do I get 20% of all miles my family accrues including their business class bonus and first flight bonus?

Answers to all your questions are there, you can add your family members there as well. Their miles will automatically be credited to you when they fly.

yes from "base" and bonus miles (except status miles from you obviously). keep in mind, you earn 20% however they earn 0 (so 80% are "gone"). better to credit to an individual account IMO and do upgrades from their accounts afterwards (or transfer miles against $$)
