Check In Cash Upgrades?
Hi All,
I'm flying from Houston to Dubai and back to Houston in March.
IIRC, when I checked my mother in for this flight a few months back, I asked the check in agent if they were offering upgrades and she said "yes for around a 1000 dollars."
Do you know if they're still offering these upgrades and if so, approx. how much they cost?
The fare was a cheap travel agent fare but so was the one that my mother was travelling on.

It depends on the load of the specific flight.
IIRC, you won't be able to pay for upgrades on website if you bought your ticket through a TA. So, you have to try your luck at check-in.
Check "upgrade with miles" on EK website. If it is possible, then, it may be a good indication. (But I don't know if it works when you don't have miles)
