Upgrade Notification SMS
I have not found any thread about this here, but if there is and if this is no news, please delete my post...
I have tried to upgrade some flights on emirates.com and have noticed that you can activate a notification by SMS when upgrade availability pops up. I hope this is working out, I am trying this on my upcoming flights.

But no harm in a dedicated thread as I think it's quite big news! Though push notifications in the app would arguably be even better.

Wow, I've never had such a notification even when upgrades have become available after booking. Perhaps it's on specific handsets only? I use a modded Android and I've noticed I get app updates later than others.

I just manually checked an upcoming flight that I'm registered for SMS upgrade alerts on. There is an upgrade available on one sector that wasn't there a week ago, but no SMS received.
Dare I mention EK IT again.
