How to book a 2 or 3 day layover in Dubai?
 

Hi all,

Sorry if that question has been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer.

On my next return trip from Hong Kong to Lyon (HKG-LYS-HKG), I would like to stop in Dubai for 2-3 days to visit on my way to Lyon.

On Emirates' website it says that I should book a layover with their travel partner in my city, but is there an option to do that myself without going through a travel agency?

Do I have to book separate one-way flights, 2 return flights, or can I include a long layover in my normal HKG-LYS-HKG return flight?

You need to do an advanced search and do

HKG DXB
DXB LYS

LYS HKG

assuming you want to stop on the outbound.

outbound would be HKG - LYS and OP had mentioned that's when he wants it. But yes, as m3red pointed out, do a multi-city/advanced search as:

HKG - DXB
DXB - LYS
LYS - HKG with the appropriate stopover dates.
