Fare Basis Query

1 Attachment(s)
So my company has booked me on a ...... schedule (the cheapest)... I want to work out the cost to request a change to my preferred schedule, but don't know the fare basis in order to 1) work out the penalties and 2) calculate the fare difference.

Booked through a TA, so can't use MMB.

On the tkt info, the following is displayed:

Fare
GBP745.00

Additional information
BBR 0.08877 NON-END/FLEX

Also, what is BBR? Haven't seen this before.

The routing is for HKG-LGW-HKG

Can I get the farebasis from the above?

BBR stands for Bankers Buying Rate - it appears because the fare itself was in GBP, but it's a HKG originating itinerary, so the fare construction would be in NUC converted to HKD using the ROE specified, then converted again using a rate that EK gets via a bank.

i.e. 1081.87 NUC * 7.750300 ROE * 0.08877 should be around 745 GBP

As for fare type, looks like a Y Flex, with specific RBD of U class - changes are 1000 HKD, 2000 HKD for cancellation.

Thanks, ET.

It is a Y Flex, and pretty sure it was U class (from the TA itin I saw), but where did you get U class from here? Or you just know all the fares? :)

It is either B or U class (the fare is 1011.56NUC as per your fare construction), so in any case Flex

Haha I'm not that bad yet! I just did a quick lookup of fares on expert flyer and had it convert to GBP
