Close to my heart too and I will add one EK destination I know of but this may better placed on this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smoking-lounge-748/

PEK -No

Smoking landside before departures only and prohibited from taking lighters airside. Which can be a bit of a pain when transiting at DXB

Thanks, this is about EK lounges specifically and not smoking lounges in general.

I'll update thanks.

At JED, the smoking room is next to the kid's playroom(!). The door is rarely closed and the smokes spreads into the entire lounge. Nasty.

I had the comment next to JED about the kids play area in the original post, not great I agree.

However, in the North terminal I've never known the lounge smoking room door to be left open, or for the lounge to smell of smoke to be honest. The smoking room outside the lounge is a whole other ball game though.

The South terminal lounge smoking room door seems to be left open regularly but at least it's not near a kids play area. And at least there are chairs in it too :)

The public smoking area in airside is a small balcony which happens to be located just next to the EK lounge.

w00t Jan 14, 2016 2:40 am

HAM - no

Close before going through passport control again at the gate, there are stairs which lead to the smoking area (previously on the ground floor).

MUC - no

Leaving the lounge on the right side is a rather big glass room where smoking is allowed.

PER - no

2 minute walking distance from the lounge is a smoking area.

MCT - no

Irish pub close to the gate allows smoking.

Thanks for the info and detail. Just to clarify though; you can smoke airside in German airports now just not in the EK lounge?

Went to FRA a while back with another carrier and was under the impression they didn't allow it.
