Timings for checking through at Dubai
 

Hi - apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it.

I'm travelling as follows:

Emirates: Cape Town to Dubai - dep 13.25, arr 01.15
Then later that day, also on Emirates:
Dubai to Glasgow - dep 14.45.

Can anyone confirm that I will definitely be able to check my hold baggage all the way through from Cape Town to Glasgow - so that I can safely book into the airside hotel at Dubai with just my hand-luggage?

Second question - does Dubai still have the facility to check baggage in and go airside 24 hours before departure.

I can't find confirmation of either on the Emirates website.

Anxiety is around *having* to emerge and collect my baggage at Dubai - then not being able to check back in again till 3 hours before the second flight.

Yes you can check all the way through no problem, when do you fly? I fly CPT to DXB on the 28th Nov.

Hi again - that's good news, thank you. Flying 8th/9th January.

Managed to make myself ineligible for Dubai Connect for the first time in ages, and so had to sort out a hotel all by myself - and the Airside hotel is full of dire warnings about not going land side, hence my worry about being certain that the baggage could be checked all the way through

I think the Emirates website could be more helpful in these matters.
