The lounge looks done enough from the outside but apparently opens at the end of April.
In the interim passengers are sent to "The Club" down in the bowels of the lower level. Less than impressive

I think so. It's been a few years since I've been to that EI lounge, but yes I think it's the same one.
Sounds like they're expanding this particular one in the next few months to include showers and restrooms. No doubt due to the vacancies created by LH and BA

Hi all,
I'm doing a bucket list A380 First flight SIN-DXB-VIE in May, but can't for the life of me find a confirmed answer for whether a non-status F pax can bring a Y guest (on same flight) into SIN and/or DXB lounge?
Some comments last year suggest this is an unpublished perk, the Qantas website indicates yes (https://www.qantas.com/travel/airlin...unge/global/en), but called Emirates and they said no. Clear as mud and very annoying as I'll book the Y pax based on this alone.

I was there on Thursday night and it certainly feels a lot bigger than the old lounge. It never seemed to get uncomfortably crowded like the old one did when the 385 arrived from HKG and its transit passengers joined those leaving BKK on the 385 and the 371.

I don't know whether it's just the photos, but the colour tones and the furnishings look more modern and less "old school EK" than other EK lounges - are they (albeit at a glacial pace) moving towards something a bit less blingy and dated?
The same with the colour tones of the new A380 bar - a noticeable shift from the rest of the aircraft.
