Emirates Flight Attendant's Name

I searched for relevant topics over the internet but had no luck. So, I decided to post one myself.

I flew in Emirates EK222 from DFW to DXB on 29th Dec 2014. The flight was amazing and I was particularly impressed by one flight attendant's service. She did a remarkable job and I want to rate or give a compliment for her. I want to know if there is a way I can find out the flight attendant's name. Any reply is appreciated.

Just send in your compliment along with your flight info + date and where you were seated.

Asking for a name on a forum is just creepy .

Ditto. FT rules also prevent the naming of staff.

Would have been perfectly simple & acceptable to make a note of the name DURING the flight itself. But I agree with others that trying to find it out now is not appropriate.

Welcome to FT.

Send in the compliment with details, especially where you were sitting, which cabin - EK can find out the roster and pass on the comment to the manager of the crew member in question (or failing that the Purser, who can then pass it on...if they can be bothered!).

Agreed. In fact I always make a point to note the names of FAs serving me. It just seems so strange and a bit rude not to at least know the person serving you on a 5hrs and above flight.

Until you get that awkward moment when you are groggy from a long flight or the lounge and you are staring at the FAs name tag trying to be nice to get her name but the tag is strategically positioned on her left breast...:D

In which case, always wise to immediately banish any schoolboy thoughts of asking
"So what's the other one called ...?" :td::eek:

Schoolboy? I bet at least one F or J pax every other flight asks something similar...! I agree it is quite boorish behaviour though. Quite sad to hear the stories in the galley about inappropriate pax - there's always someone who takes it too far, probably contributes a little to burn out!

Lucky for me that's never happened before. Though I did once got a reply from FA after asking for her name: "Sir, I do not date customer.", which I replied with a straight face "That's a relief!". The look on the face was priceless, though I was conveniently ignored by her for remainder of flight. :p

I flew on the same flight but on Dec 7th and I also experienced excellent service from the cabin crew that was handling the J cabin. I asked one of the male FA's for his name and he gave me a card with his name and told me to mention the flight # and cabin class and send an email to Emirates HQ about my experience.
