Good question...

Only the Moet. Otherwise, IMHO, EK is not really a nice airline (if you're a Y cls pax that is).

Still haven't decided whether to fly to LON bus class with my booked UA tix or go with my pepaid tix on EK. My wife says I'd be nuts to go EK.

Still, I have 3 months to make that decision.

Well, it would obviously be nuts to use a ticket that is already paid for , wouldn't it?

Got a little confused here, and thought that the thread had been hijacked to discuss the nuts on KE :D

Not really. She is a Y class hater when she has to travel in it. Her famous saying is "if I have to travel economy I'm not going" and that's fair enough. Life's too short for anything else.

Then why not purchase J class/ plan your trip after looking at award availability if looking to upgrade using miles?

Hey Dave,

Totally agree - this sounds like the emotional ramblings of someone looking to break up with their SO... LOL Gimme a break. If you are going to write to the airline, keep it to the facts and keep it to one or two paragraphs!

TFD

That was the intention. To write the letter in the style of the "emotional ramblings of someone looking to break up with their SO." That you and Dave thought it was a serious letter is really baffling to me.

An open letter to Emirates

Reminds me of "of whose line is it anyway. I would like you to write a complaint to an airline in the style of a dear John letter"! It is different from WLIIA in one crucial factor, it didn't get any laughs! Sorry downlow it was a good attempt in my view it's just the humour bar on EK is set pretty high!
