Famous passengers!
Spotted Khloe Kardashian and Arnold Schwarzenegger boarding my LAX-DXB flight on the 10th. I was unfortunately stuck in Y, so I couldn't chat to them in the bar!
Tried to do an on board upgrade with miles but the purser refused due to being a Skysurfer!
I am a huge fan of KUWTK, so I was severely disappointed with being unable to talk to Khloe.

I don't fly as a UM anymore!
I am sixteen, so I am still not allowed into the lounge at DXB. I get escorted to the UM lounge, but that's as far as I roll with the club now.
I hate the restrictions put on "children" under eighteen who are flying alone. Certainly a sixteen year old, flying business with gold status (should be platinum!), will not disturb other passengers in the lounge. All I ask for is a shower, some VOSS, and a nice plate of food. Is that so bad for EK to give a sixteen year old?... No, but he's flying alone and other "premium" passengers will complain. I was told this after speaking to the supervisor of the A lounge on Saturday, who politely told me to **** off and never try to use the lounge again until I am eighteen because other passengers don't like "children" being around when they pay so much. Clearly my ticket was some sort of charity drive, as I did not pay as much as them. My status is also ignored and what bugs me the most...
SKYSURFER STATUS IS NOT RECOGNISED ON THE NEW BOARDING PASS DESIGN. That's right, no longer does it say that I am a gold on my BP. I am now a nothing to EK! It was extremely embarrassing when boarding to have to stop to pull out your card and have them check it in front of other passengers to prove that you aren't a fraud. Skysurfers now means absolutely nothing except for accruing miles and using them, which is now becoming impossible.
If they weren't the only decent flight I could do DUR-LHR I would be long gone...

Even though you probably very much know how to behave yourself, some 16 year olds are just not that mature. Enjoy the time you have left as a teenager, adulthood will hit too soon anyhow!

I wonder if either of them would use the bar. Or would deign to talk to anyone. What sort of entourage did they have? I don't think these people would have been as easily accessible and chatty as you appear to think!

I wouldn't even recognize that Karadashian girl. Isn't she some trashy C-lister? Or has she any real achievements (Arnold at least ran a state)? Is she worthwhile knowing? Interesting conversation to be had? Does she look classy?
Gonna google her now and see what I can find.

They were separate. Khloe had about five members excluding herself, Arnold one (appeared to be his son). We're not together from what I saw.
A of mine took a photo with Khloe as she was browsing a magazine store in LAX. She bought six magazines for the flight. She was quite nice to him, but not overly chatty. Her outfit can be seen if you google it - she was wearing a full black outfit.
I can only hope that they enjoyed the bar and passengers there, but that i will never know.
I did see Halle Berry on EK0001 a long time ago. Of course she was in F and I was in the first row of J on the A380. I asked the purser if we were allowed to approach her and she informed me that she denied her fellow F passengers the priveledge, as she was traveling with her daughter.

I'm pretty sure I posted about it in the celebrity thread but my pictures were taken down as they apparently were against FT rules.
Anyway, I guess she doesn't like being approached when traveling with her daughter.

I was on EK202 JFK-DXB around Christmas 2012, and Halle berry and her daughter were in F, as was I. I was in 2K while they were in 1E/F, and I do remember a passenger and JFK ground crew (after boarding) ask for a picture, and she said no to both. I wasn't gonna try after that, but I did get a picture of her from behind.
