chances of being offered online paid upgrade?
Hi -
What are my chances of being offered an online paid upgrade from Economy to Business? Am flying JFK-DXB-SIN on 8 Sept 2014 (depart next Monday) on Economy Flex fare Per ExpertFlyer, 19 seats remain open in Business for leg 1 (EK202, A380), and 7 seats open in Business for leg 2 (EK352, B773) Economy is very, very open for both flights (how can they fly planes so empty?) Two weeks ago, at T-4 days, was offered $1000US to upgrade to Business JFK-DXB on a Economy >Saver< fare (took it ... assigned 7A (A380) ... slept 8 hours without interruption ... heavenly!) Thanks in advance for your comments - |
EF is not an accurate figure and only a rough guide. I've been upgraded on flights that look wide open in Y.
Its best use is for snagging D class or Z class upgrade seats. Offers are very random and usually get sent to blue or silver members rather than golds and plats. |

Even if you don't get that email, land up early for check-in and see if they are offering paid upgrades to J.

Yep ......
You need to land up, check in, go through, get on, push back, and then ..... take off :) |
