Hi,

Not sure if this is the right thread, point me in the right direct if so. Flying into EWR on Dec 13 in F, staying in Midtown, NYC. According to the EK website, it doesn't list any Manhattan Zip codes for Chauffeur drive, but has Zip codes for Brooklyn (Whereas flights into JFK has Manhattan zip codes and EWR is as close as JFK). Can anyone confirm if Manhattan is included for the flight arriving at EWR?

Thanks!

BLQ (Italy)
GIG (Brazil)
BCN (Spain)
EWR (USA)
FLL (USA)
MCO (USA)

Weird that they Manhattan zip codes are not listed. You will not have any problem with CD taking you to midtown. The offered range is actually quite big, all the way up in Westchester County. From the EK website: “Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) transfers The following are a list of the towns that are within the allowable radius of 50 miles to/from Newark Liberty International Airport.”

Midtown is way less than 50 miles from EWR. Have a great trip!

It depends. If a regular or redemption booking on Emirates or Qantas then yes, no problem. If it's a partner award, or you just have a long transit in BKK and hope to use it to see some of the city, then no.

Op already indicated they are calling EK to book, implying EK Cash or reward

Which would include a ticket with a long transit. Best to cover as many eventualities as possible, and the additional info might help others.

EK Chauffeur Service Question

Booked IAD to DXB to JFK on EK F using JAL miles. Given these are two award flights, I assumed no chauffeur service was available. However, upon logging into to my EK account, I noticed that I can book chauffeur service from JFK, but not to IAD on my outbound leg. Is this a glitch? If not, is there a way to also get chauffeur service to IAD?

No CD on partner awards. I think this bug has been noted before. It will allow you to book it, but it then gets cancelled sometime before the flight (with no notice).

OK so I purchased a o/w first class ticket from MEL to AKL (note purchased first class - not miles) ($1,130.00 USD)

(No I am not continuing onto DXB)

When I go into "manage my booking" and select airport transfer option, it shows a cost of $95+ (depending on car choice)...

I was under the impression that first class was free (less than 60km) (My hotel is only 13 miles from MEL)

Is it not allowing "free" because my first class tix is only to AKL, or for some other reason? (It say tips, tolls, gas FREE - but still shows a price of $95 for the transfer....)???

Trans-tasman routes are not eligible for CD, this is noted in the CD terms and conditions and well known
