flight from akld-dubai

This flight stops in Brisbane. No status so very low chance of an operational upgrade... but always good to ask! is it likely to be just one sector or both?? we are in J.

If you are prepared to pay the fare difference then you will be upgraded on both sectors otherwise you will be in the paid for cabin

Loads in Y from AKL -BNE not likely to be high enough for an op-up. BNE-DXB may be high enough but it is likley that Plat, Gold and already Silver will be offered an op-up before nearly Silver.

When do you fly? Have you booked already? You are flying to DXB as your end destination, or looking at beyond? If DXB only, did you consider booking to CMB or CDG and looking at the miles and cost differences?

Operational upgrades only happen when Y is oversold.

Ok thanks. All good to know. Mushez, we fly on to Milan after Dubai. Will be silver then if the points for that first sector are credited then although I expect it is more likely that points go on when at final destination.

EK only credits points for the oneway journey at the end of the oneway journey based on the start to end point. EK does not credit on a flight by flight basis
