This stuff just blows my mind...its a bit overkill for a 7 hour flight, but will be excellent for the ULH routes.

EK doesn't need to respond as EY just went after the ultra-rich market segment. I'm sure EK will enjoy just as much F class demand as it typically does.

I'll be looking forward to the price differential between EK and EY FC. Wonder if EY will price it out of the roof...

Well according to the link below, the 'Residence' will be priced around $20,000 oneway from AUH to LHR. I wonder what their 'Apartments' will be priced at!

Just taken a look at some of the videos that have been released by EY. Business Class on the A380 looks very tight to me, hence it won't win over the Emirates faithful. Economy does look better and those futuristic headrests are an excellent idea. Maybe Emirates can install the same seats in their aircraft. Y is 3-4-3 on Etihad's A380, so I assume the same amount of room as Ek. However this video is something else minus the screaming of course.

It's your own private shower in a commercial plane... How much space must there be.

Having only ordered 10 A380's makes the fleet quiet exclusive and gives EY the right to offer such a specialised product for an aircraft which will be on their prime routes.

With EK having so many A380's on their books, don't expect the product to change because it has to be suitable for so many markets, in addition to prime LHR, JFK, SYD etc. If anything EK will have more simple offerings such as a 2class config to better suit the vast network.

Enough room to be able to swing my elbows so i can wash my long flowing non-existent hair and to be able to stand without tilting ones head to the side so as not to hit the ceiling which would be difficult at best looking at that video.

Tried to do a redemption, asking for 2.3mil miles for AUH-LHR one way (same for 2 passengers).

Fares ex-AU are 60k for 1, or 39k pp (2 booked together).

Just checked: AUH-LHR-AUH for two people comes to R220,383 in January. That's R110,000 per person...

I think this will be taken off the bucket list...

EK are in the process of redesigning their cabins. Not sure when they'll release them, but doing it after Etihad is probably smart.
