Checkin/JFK Lounge
 

Hi there,
Flying from JFK to DXB tomorrow with the 11 pm flight. I really want to get in quite early to chill out in the lounge as well as get some work done.

I spoke to an agent and she said it's not possible to be there more than 3 hours prior to departure. Is this true? If not, when is the earliest time to be there?

Not true.

The JFK lounge is open pretty much all day. If you are flying F or J, or are a Plat/ Gold, then EK has a separate counter open where you can check in, get your BP, and head straight to the lounge. I've checked in as early as 2:30 pm for the 11:00 pm departure. I've been doing that for the past several years when I used to be in the lounge between 5pm-6 pm after finishing my meetings in NYC. However, just to throw some caution, I've not flown 202 for the last several months, mainly because I now prefer 204 as it helps me tackle jet lag better, so things may have changed but I really doubt it.

I will be flying 202 in March and will arrive JFK at 4 pm. So very interested to know if OP could check in early and go to the lounge. Thanks.

The earliest I have been in the lounge is 4pm with no hiccups. However, the check in counters open at 7pm. The option then is to go to the ticketing counter to get your boarding pass.
