Emirates 772 or 380?
Hello all, I hope this is the right to place to ask this kind of question!!
I'm planning to book Award ticket from DFW to SKT (Pakistan) on Dec 8th. I have two options but i need opinion from you all!! This would be my first time flying Emirates business class but i did fly in A380 from London to DXB before in economy.
From dfw to dxb the plane EK use is b772 which mean no flat bed for 15 hr flight. On sunday i get off from work 8 AM (overnight job) so i have 4 hours to get ready for the flight with no bed rest.
My second option is i did find flights from LAX (A380)to SKT on sunday but i need to buy revenue ticket from DFW TO LAX which is about 85 $. I wont have any lagguge with me bcz my sister is flying 3 days early so she will take all my stuff and that day i can take off early from work to catch 6am flight from dfw to lax and then lax to dxb at 4pm then i will have 8 hr stop in dxb so plenty of time to catch up with sleep!!
I want to experience fully EK business class so which flight should i take?
thx

That's debatable. I'd get the direct 772 - it is also new j ie lie flats, I prefer them to the a380. Only difference is the bar.

I'd go for the A380 any day, especially for the 3rd longest flight in the world. Much quieter, great to just stretch out in the lounge anytime, fully flat bed, and then there is someone always manning the lounge if you ever want anything to eat or drink. And they have ice cream too!
I'd avoid the 777 altogether.

The last couple of EK flts they didn't have ice cream and the FA told me they stopped carrying it. Was she wrong?
The thing I don't like about the 380 is the long time it takes to get served meals. On my last flight they turned the lights on 2 1/2 hrs before landing to prepare for serving breakfast and it took them a good hour to get me the meal I had ordered over an hour before..
I do like the on-board lounge on the 380 though.
However, flying out of your hometown directly has the advantage of the chauffeur drive and you wouldn't have concerns regarding misconnecting from a separate revenue ticket.

The in-flight service on the 777 in Business is better than on the A380 owing to a reduced number of business class seats on the 777 - 42 as opposed to 76 on the A380. It has been reported here by many that they prefer the 777 bed to the A380 bed. Unless you plan on spending considerable amount of time in the bar on the A380, I would recommend you fly from Dallas to Dubai non-stop.

Thank you all for the response!! I believe 772LR does not have flat bed. My friend flew last month n that's what he said. Also don't care about the a380 bar bcz I don't drink at all. Few more responses I will make up my mind!!
