Miles Accelerator Bonus Not Creditted
Hi folks, I have a query about this miles accelerator and bonus miles.
I had opted in to September's miles accelerator on 5th September.
I booked a AMS to BKK return on 18th Sept via Emirates.com
Departing Flights:
29th Sept AMS - DXB EK148 (No Bonus miles)
30th Sept DXB - BKK EK376 (No Bonus miles)
I then opted in to October's miles accelerator on 7th October.
Return Flights:
22nd Oct BKK - DXB EK419 (No Bonus miles)
22nd Oct DXB - AMS EK147 (2000 Bonus miles)
All tier miles were credited but the 2000 bonus miles were not.
Is it because I hadn't opted in to October's 'MA' before I made the booking ?
Although as I understand it, if I make a booking on the Emirates website, whilst logged into my Skywards account, I shouldn't have to 'opt in'.
or
Is it because I booked the flight in September and not October. (I don't remember seeing if there were any bonuses offered on September's 'MA')

Maybe they have just been missed.
Can anyone enlighten me please ? Or is there an email address I can ask Emirates about this. (I can't see anything on their website).
The missing miles claim form isn't really appropriate in this case as all other miles were credited. I know its only 2000 miles but I am so close to my next upgrade it will make a difference.

Probably your second option - you booked in Sept and during Sept there were no bonus miles applicable for Oct flights. Without knowing if that was the case for sure cannot be certain.

I thought that you automatically opt-in if you book direct with EK online.
Give them a call and check. I noticed that in some searches (multi-city) the bonus doesn't show, but if booked as one way/return it comes out. It seems your bookings weren't multi-city, but am saying that the process isn't as straight forward and might have been mal-implemented from the back end.
