Transferring DXB concourse A / B

I believe there have been changes since I last transferred a year ago. Arriving 777 from GLA and onto 380 to SYD. Reading some of the posts I believe there is a new 380 terminal and in concourse A and F lounge is in that. I would arrive in concourse B or C. If C I would get transit train to A and if B I would walk to C and take the train.

Is this correct?

With a 777 you can arrive in concourse B or A. Your boarding card usually reads to use the lounge closest to your departure gate. Jump or walk onto the train and you can find an F lounge in Concourse A and B.

A380's still regularly depart from B, the "A380 terminal" is a bit of marketing myth tbh. In a 777 you could easily end up in concourse A and have your A380 depart from concourse B. Lounges in A are far superior to B. Either way transferring is easy and quick. I timed it last time, from disembarkation in B to arrival in A J lounge took 9 minutes.

Thanks both for your help. That clarifies things.

I am not sure I agree with that. I prefer the Con B FCL to the A FCL lounge any day.

I have only visited each on one occasion so would be interested to know why you prefer B over A.

Much more spacious and airy. It has nice sofas and a very different decor from other EK lounges, so that gives it a very unique appeal. And typically quite deserted.

The A FCL furniture is not much different from the J Lounge above, no sofas, and it is quite narrow.

Food is the same in both the lounges though.
