Flex fares increased?
 

I am flying about 5x a year HKG-FRA return on EK and always book FLEX. However today I was checking for my next flight in October and I searched Saver first, which showed me HK$ 7818 inc. taxes and fees. Flex showed me HK$11698. That's quite a difference, I remember it used to be like $2000 difference or so.. or maybe I'm wrong. Or the saver fares just decreased for this route!?

I don't know what's wrong but I couldn't get any cheap Flex (<1000€) for my monthly NCE-HKG In October.
November is ok...

Dont know whether fares have changed, but that does seem to be about the difference between the U fare and the W fare in October

Checking for September , the lowest fare seems to be a B class fare and there seems to be a $2000 difference to W

Looks like there is a cheaper class introduced

Looking at historical fares, for october EF is showing fares for tickets issued last month
B 6250
M 7780
W 9040

whilst now

U 6920
B 8420
M 9620
W 10920

The cheapest fare is now about the same price , but the cheapest flex fare is now $2000 more expensive

yes thats right, I am flying next week for 9k and need to go mid of October. Maybe October is a busy month..

I dont think so. It looks like EK has changed the fares and have introduce a U class fare which is around the price which B used to be and have increased from there

If you had booked for october a cpl of weeks ago the difference would have been around $2000

interesting.. anyways company pays. It's still cheaper than flying TPE - FRA on China Airlines. Thanks everyone for the information.
