Is Emirates part of Skyteam, OneWorld, or StarAlliance?
I am going to be flying on Emirates soon, and would like to earn points with an American carrier in one of the 3 global alliances.
Whats the best way to do that? I see the Emirates is part of some agreement with JetBlue? |
No, it's not part of any alliance. A check of the web site will reveal that you can earn miles on Alaska or jetBlue flying on Emirates.

thank you!
For some reason, i thought they were also StarAlliance |

For some reason, i thought they were also StarAlliance I do not believe EK will ever join one of the 3 major alliances - too much arm waving by other members if they did... |

Its a question that gets asked many times. But if you hang around this forum long enough you will soon learn that EK doesn't really play well with others ;)

I think you'll see more of the big deal partnerships - rather than Alliances and if you look back and hear some of Tim Clarks comments on Alliances, you can see and hear that he's no fan of them. Wont be happening on his watch... |

Should never say never, but I highly doubt it. LH and UA would be very strong opponents to EK joining (its public knowledge within the industry that LH senior management "despise" EK and EK's success)
