Visa Requirement
 
Flying IAD-DXB-IAD in July, can I get the visa at the airport on arrival?

Depends on your nationality :D

But lets assume your American ?


National USA (US) /Embarkation USA (US)
Destination United Arab Emirates (AE)


United Arab Emirates (AE)



Passport required.
- Passport or passport replacing documents of visitors must be
valid for:
- at least 3 months from the date of entry, for visits of up
to 3 months; or
- at least 6 months from the date of entry, for visits
exceeding 3 months.

Visa Issuance:
Visa required, except for Holders of normal passports issued
to nationals of USA can obtain a visa on arrival for a max.

stay of 30 days. Free of charge.
- E-visas for Dubai (DXB) can be applied for, prior to
departure, through the internet at www.ednrd.ae . Airlines
can check the validity of an e-visa at the same site by
clicking on the "Query DNRD APP" button.
Minors:
- Passport not required for minors registered in their
parent/guardian passport, provided it contains photos of the
minors and travelling with the passport bearer.
- Separate visa not required for minors registered in their
parent/guardian passport, provided For details, click here
Additional Information:

- Extension of stay possible for additional 30 days, for

nationals of USA, provided extension request is submitted at

least 2 days prior to the expiry date of the visa issued on
arrival. Fee: AED 600.-.
- Valid visas in expired passports are accepted provided
accompanied by new passport.
