First Boarding
I have my first F flights coming up
DXB to Del 8512 back on 515 and then a F flight back from CMB in March. Are EK still doing a separate bridge for F pax? Or is that only for suite flights? Seems a little random in approach.... |
As far as I am aware, all EK flights use the first airbridge to the first door (on a non-A380 flight; then there is a separate airbridge to the upper deck for F and J). So, First always gets a dedicated boarding bridge, although I think it can be used also by those travelling J.

Was on EK 515 to DEL (non-suite 772) in F about 3 weeks ago. I can confirm that there was an airbridge to the F door.
Since I deplaned first :D, I can't quite recall if J pax followed. I flew out of Mumbai last week (also non-suite 772) and the F bridge was only for F pax. J pax were through the 2nd bridge. |

The reason I've herd behind this method of boarding is because EK doesn't want the floor in the front of first class damaged, as well as the associated damage of having bags drag past the suites. I guess it was adopted by the rest of the fleet. Perhaps the boarding method varies by station, but this is how its normally done in DXB. |
