Tricks how to get in the plane before your zone is called

Title says it all...

I always try to get in the plane as fast as I can but because I usually sit in the front rows of Economy class I'm the last zone that's being called in. I prefer to get into my seat ASAP because I want to make sure my hand luggage has a good spot :)

Any tricks to get into before your zone, other then having a kid, being old, or having a silver or gold card?

Much appreciated,
Ben

Explain that you really need to use he lavatory and ask the GA politely to allow you in before you do it in your pants?

They will tell him to use the terminal lavatory.

I think people should be boarding in their respective zone and not trying to "cut in line". However, if you absolutely need to be arrogant and cut in line, then start walking with a limp, tell them you have a disability, and pre-board.

I agree with the cutting issue, but it doesn't really make a difference as 50% of the pax don't board as stated on their Boarding Passes.

Yeah I've seen someone faking a limp to try to smooch a Y-J upgrade and the FA's and GA's saw right through him so I doubt this will work unless he's a good actor

Y-J upgrade requires approval all the way up the line to the purser, and sometimes beyond. Pre-boarding not so much.

I'm sure the layman who flies EK on his holiday once every two years doesn't know that:) (not referring to the OP)

Or he'll just be offloaded for having had surgery recently and not informing the check-in agents of this. I've seen that before too! ;)

(Writing down in my notebook...) When wanting to cut in line don't tell them I just had surgery.

Don't. It just contributes to chaotic boarding. About 12 months ago on the DXB-CGK route, boarding was continually like joining a rugby scrum as many passengers surged forward blocking all access to the bridge. First and Business passengers literally had to push through the mass to get on - if I had been paying those ticket amounts I wouldn't have been impressed. The boarding on that route each way, seems to be improving as the gate staff are managing it better and being strict with passengers telling people to wait until their zone is called before boarding.

But I empathise re: getting a spot for your hand luggage near to where you actually sit.

I've never actually seen anyone enforce boarding zones. More often than not they'll just skip priority boarding (as at USM the other day, starting with the back of Y), and I'll join the line anyway and tell them I'm Star Gold or in J or whatever and board early.
