Accelerator points/flight changes
 

In October I booked a business class ticket for my wife and an economy for myself, hoping to be able to do a points upgrade, from PER to NCE and return from CDG. I foolishly forgot to opt in for October.
At the beginning of November I purchased the upgrade to business for myself as it seems pretty unlikely I'd get a points upgrade and the flight prices seemed to be changing upwards each week and we are in an 'early bird' period now until the end of November.
I paid $75 for a flight change to my wife's ticket (in Nov.) and opted in, thinking 'new ticket, new rules' and I'd be OK for the 4000 bonus accelerator points now she was supposed to be eligible for.
We both have the same original reference numbers for the bookings and I can get my points but wife still can't.
Should I be glad I've got mine and leave it at that or do more experienced members think the flight change and $75 gives me a case to pursue my wife's points.

What you have received seems consistent with my understanding

With your wife's ticket, if all you changed was dates, then the miles accelerators will be as per original booking

With yours, a substantive change requiring a full reissue occurred and so you will get miles accelerators as per november

It works both ways; can gain and can lose depending on what changes are made
