Should I upgrade to J?
 

I have a 3hr flight coming up from DXB to DEL on 10/27

Plane config 777-200

I recently was offered an upgrade to Business Class for $182. I'm considering it; since I've never been on Emirates Business before, and I'm curious.

But the flight is only 3hrs long, and this is not Emirates' best plane. I looked up the regular price of a one way ticket and the price difference between economy and business from DXB to DEL is only $215. So essentially, they are offering me a $33 discount to upgrade (not much).

Should I do it? Or should I save the $182 and spend it in India?

The three hour mark is right about the point I start getting really uncomfortable in steetage. I would probably pay...

Well worth it. The 777-200 is not the worst aircraft, so I'd snap their hands off.

Do you get lounge access with these upgrades? I guess you don't get the car service...

If you get chauffeur drive then go for it.As DYKWIA mentioned i dont know if you get it kf you upgrade via the offer emails.EK510 is an overnight flight and arrives at Del in the middle of the night.Always nicer to have a few hours sleep in J and to have a chauffeur waiting at del for you.


Do you have any skywards miles. DxB del needs only 12500 miles for a y to j upgrade and miles upgrade tickets are eligible for the car service at both DXB and Del .

Or just pay another $33 and get the whole thing including extra tier miles!

I was once emailed with and offer to upgrade for £££, I did not go for it but was still upgraded.

Wonder what happened in the case of the OP?
