Now, it's not uncommon for EK aircraft to show up as AA1234 when they are at the maintenance facility in DXB, but FR24 actually shows A6-EBV flying from DFW to MKE on both 18th and 19th September with that callsign. Very strange.

EDIT: Probably a bug on FR24s end. AA1234 was operated by a regular MD83 on both 18/19th September.

I heard that Azur Air will be leasing this plane along with No 32707 and 32708 soon.

Hopefully Azur Air won't break this one.

Can anyone confirm the frames that the new A380 bar is on? A lot of news reports and posts have EUX as the first frame and thus EUY, EUZ and EVA should have it, but since the frames delivered out of "alphabetical order" I am not entirely sure if there are other frames that have the new bar.

Here's the delivery order starting at EUX according to airfleets:

(MSN- Delivery Date - Reg. No.)
241 27/07/2017 A6-EUX
242 29/08/2017 A6-EUY
244 29/09/2017 A6-EUZ
236 27/10/2017 A6-EUT
239 06/11/2017 A6-EUV
234 30/11/2017 A6-EUS
232 16/03/2018 A6-EUR
167 26/04/2018 A6-EVA
238 01/07/2018 A6-EUU
240 17/09/2018 A6-EUW

I've scoured the 'net for photographic proof (assuming it's tagged correctly) and surmise that UX, UY, UZ, UT, UV have the newest bar.

The rest, just don't have proof.

They are A6-EBH, A6-EBF and A6-EBV respectively

Wouldn't all frames after EUX have it by default?

AFAIK, once a 'new' product is introduced in a specific aircraft, it is then included in all subsequent delivered aircraft as well.
Take the new 6F first class cabin EQH for example, it came with EQH and is the same in all frames delivered after it.

I flew on A6-EBV in July, and it really needed to go. Looks very worn out, seats were in desperate need of some thorough cleaning, the reclining feature didn't work on some, and was very slow on others. IFEs were malfunctioning, and the screens all had this strange yellow/green shade on them.

Also I noticed that EK seems to be phasing out the 2-class frames only, understandable since they probably have way more cycles than the 3-class ones, but no new 2-class frames have been delivered since A6-EPT, which was in 2016.

I would think so but there were a few frames "held back" at Airbus to slow down the delivery rate thus the out-of-order registrations. They might have already gone through the cabin fitting process before being stored at Airbus.

I also took A6-EBF to MNL and return on A6-EBH last May, there is another worn seat in the back of the cabin and controller looks broken. Yet the screen is still looking good and not really that strange at all compared to your flight on EBV. But EK is seem to phasing out 3 more 77W in 2 class and replace them with the 2 class A380. So EBV, EBF and EBH is about to leave fleet soon for Azur Air as I mention earlier. By 2019 seems the 2 class 77W is falling down to 20 if not mistaken. Hope there is a new 2 class A380 coming this year and a year after that so it can replace some older 777's and possibly it's routes!

I think every airframe you mention up has a new bar as I found by source.

What do you mean this one? You mean that 77W (VQ-BZY) or what?

Assembly is done at Toulouse (TLS) and cabin fitting and paint is usually done at Hamburg (XFW).
Here is when each frame flew to XFW, considering all except A6-EUR were flown to XFW in 2017, they most likely have the new bar.

Spoiler

Not really sure about the route where A6-EMX currently flown now, but before EMX along with EMV is gone by end of month. The most route I can see is DXB-MAA or DXB-BOM they currently flown at. Both will soon operated by 77W.

Will be flying BKK-DXB on October 10th on a 777-200LR. Seat selection in Manage My Booking shows Economy starting from row 14, so I guess this is a reconfigured frame. I know that there is one row in the 777-200LR that has no windows. According to SeatGuru this is row 18 in the three class version of the 772L. Does anyone happen to know what row this is in the new configuration? Having switched to a window seat, I'm certainly not looking forward to having picked the row without window.
