As a side note A6-EDW just returned from maintenance so there are currently 125 active pax aircraft. EK currently has a lot of fleet flexibility with all the parked aircraft and could conceivably add 20 aircraft to the active fleet before calendar year end if they had the need and available crews.

I believe A6-EBC is also scheduled to depart for Russia as well, either with Rossiya or VIM.

As for VIM, well they went bankrupt so no planes are going there. A6-EBD did and that's lying in storage at AUH apparently.

Thanks for the info. Somewhere I saw that EBC was being returned as well... I guess it's a fluid situation..

"Very interesting indeed. It would be great to get a clearer understanding of the specific codes and color coding being used..."
Looking at April 18, we see:
1 773L < 777/300 A6-EMR
3 77WP < 777/300ER with crew rest area: A6-ECP, A6-ECT, A6-EGF
7 77WR < 777/300ER without crew rest area: A6-EBB, EBI, EGJ, EGO, EGS, EGZ, ENT and ENU....so, we have 8 frames stead 7....maybe the pic ist old?
1 388U < A380 with crew rest area: A6-EDB

EBD went to VIM, which went bankrupt, so EBD was apparently returned to EK. According to FR24, it has been in Moscow since early March.

On the chart it shows 13 77Ws stored in May 2018 and then 10 stored in June 2018.
Does this mean that total 77Ws stored will be 23 or that 3 will return to service?
I read a blog post and that claims that according to this chart EK will have 40+ aircraft in storage. Surely the crew shortages can't be that bad? I was under the impression that the chart is showing aircraft cycling in and out of storage and not new aircraft being stored every month.
@ZRHMD11 what's your take on this?
