HVC / STF

Hi all,

On a recent flight to LGW, I saw the passenger manifest and next to selected passengers were the designations HVC++, HVC+, HVC and STF.

I think HVC++ is Sheikh status (A guess based on his family name being the same as that of the ruling family of one of the Emirates), HVC+ is I/O and HVC is gold. What is STF?

Many thanks.

Yes, someone from outside the major Emirates. He was wearing the black and gold robe when he boarded and had the HVC++ designation next to him. It stuck out on the manifest as it was highlighted in yellow.

I guess the members of the Nahyan and Maktoum families travel by their private 744's.

It's called Mishlah or Bisht. And anybody can wear them.

Actually a lot of the main royal families travel EK/EY F and not private. Its only really the heads and deputy/crown princes who use the private jets.

Nice one, I asked what the acronym meant, so no need for the lmgtfy. All you needed to say was "invitation only".
