Problem purchasing skywards miles
 

I need to purchase 7k of miles - but I am having a problem wth paying forthem. Every time I get to the payment screen it is rejected and I get a message to call my bank. I have done this and the bank tell me there is no payment request being put to them from skywards, but if there was it would be fine to be authorised. It's the same problem with 3 different cards.

Just wondering - is anyone else havng problems with this?

I called Skywards and they couln't process payment either - v frustrating as I don't want to lose my upgrade....

I've had this problem with the EK website before... had to ring Skywards and purchase via phone but, don't upgrade other than on-line - you'll miss out on bonus miles that are only granted on-line.

Bonus miles for upgrading? I'm not aware of any such thing...

Maybe the 5% discount for online Reward bookings? That would be lost if booked over the phone.

Had the same problem when booking flights last week. You will notice if the payment doesn't go through the first time it asks you to contact your local EK office. I did this and the operator first checked to make sure the payment hadn't gone through already (it hadn't) but the flights I'd booked were in the system and I paid over the phone and it was alll treated as an 'online booking'. The UK number I phoned was 0844 800 2777.

I tried all of the above, after much frustration we paid for the up-grade fee (which for us was UK airport tax, don't get me startd on that one!!) at the airport at the Emirates service desk. If you are doing this go there firt as you can't boo in until you'v paid!! Good luck, it's a real pain. Luckily the last time i did a reward flight it took my credit card details 1st time :confused:
