Welcome to Tomorrow ?

More like " Say hello to Yesterday".

Just done 4 flights, manchester - Dubai - Islamabad and back.

Flight one was the morning A330. Enough said, poor seats, poor old style IFE, not a good start.

Flight 2 was 777-300ER, no change to ICE, and my seat was broken, the leg rest refused to go down once it was up, got me a telling off on approach to Islamabad but what was I to do, it was broken !

Flight 3, ISB - DXB, my Screen had a lovely yellow tint to it, so all thewhites were yellow, throwing out the colours making watching anything unpleasant. Crew were tired, they fly out from DXB, turn around then go back again, so not at their best at 3 in the morning. Someone left a bag at the top of the stairs causing a bit of a fuss, then the head count was wrong, which meant an hours delay while the bags were off loaded.

Flight 4 A380, at last, agreat flight, fantastic crew, so one out of 4 flights was acceptable, good even, the other three flawed in some way.

So, all this hype about new beginnings etc. and lots of new and exciting changes, no, same old same, dodgy equipment, variable crews, and nobody too interested in making it better.

Agree, lots of glitz and glamour marketing about modern aircraft and a fleet with an average age of 5 years, but no follow through to what's actually on-board.

Especially with the 380 wing crack issue its been a lucky packet draw what you get on-board lately.

Change won't happen overnight, give it time. Nobody likes the 330, not even the crew but there is nothing forcing you to use it on a route like MAN, you have an A380 and a 777 option

I would say a typical EK experience, especially if involving regional flights.
