F Changes
Hi,
Its been a long time!!!! 1) They don't upgrade u into F pretty easy now the way I have seen it. 2) Cutlery has changed in F long time. Is it better???? Have not noticed!!!! Looks similar!!!! 3) You get DOM 2001 or 2002 or 2003 depending on super various factors which include your F Sec's on A380's or 777's A small list of the massive changes that keep on ongoing. Safe Flying EGT |
Really? This is the first I'm hearing of a 2001 vintage. Since late last year they've switched to 2003.

I have only seen 2003 lately. Most recently Rome. Luanda next week so I will check on that too.
|
I've only seen 2003 this year, bar a couple of earlier flights...
|
My experience so far is 2002 on main fleet and 2003 on A380

Safe Flying EGT I am sort of torn between the cutlery in F and J--I think I prefer the J cutlery. |
Is it just me or does the 2000 and 2002 Dom taste better than the 2003? Was on both the A380 and 773ER and only 2003 available.

The 2001 Dom Perignon vintage does not exist in nature. Either 2000 or 2002. However it is only real champagne connoisseurs who are actually aware of this. C'est la vie.

was about to mention the same that there is no such thing as 01 Dom. 02 is the best of the 00,02,03 trifecta. Although it will be much better in about 5 yrs. The 00 is probably drinking the best right now |
F Changes
Agreed. The 2003 doesn't taste very nice - nothing to look forward to.

The altitude doesn't help either. The first glass (before take off) is the best as The palate doesn't get confused due to the effect of altitude and of course the effect of too much alcohol ;-) |
The difference is quite big in my opinion.
I prefer 2000 way above 2002. 2003 is not mature enough IMHO. Shame that EK ( that I really like ) is switching to 2003. SQ still serves 2000 in F and it's simply excellent. Regards, El Puerco Volante |
