Can a kind soul tell me the load for EK17 on 23rd April?

I cannot justify subscribing to EF with my amount of flights :(

Looks like Business Class is about 90% filled and First about 70%... Is my interpretation of the figures correct?

Not really, even if J class is empty it will show as 7, same thing goes for F class it will show as 4.

I don't know why they just don't put the exact number.

It's still way too early to tell. The way I read it, there are 4 seats allocated in F (out of 14), J has 35 seats allocated out of 76 and Y looks half full. That doesn't indicate true load (only EK's internal system will reveal that). This indicates how many people have been assigned a seat as of today. It could very well be nearly full, yet still have the majority of people to be assigned a seat.

Remember a lot of business travellers wont have even booked yet...

A week before, things will start to move, then at T-48, T-24 etc.

If you're looking for an upgrade award seat, best to set an EF alert.

I have a flight tommorow and EF is showing F4 and J3. But when I try to make a dummy booking on Emirates.com I can only book 1 seat in J class, any explenations for that?

Can you tell me the flight details? I would say that its just EK's inventory management system being particularly stubborn. It has certainly become far tougher and is not releasing seats up until the last minute. It will also oversell J but it wont oversell F...did you try a dummy booking for F?

Yup, and showed 5 seats available on Emirates.com, which also seem accurate because the seat map shows the same thing. Only the business has problems, I'm willing to use the instant upgrade option tommorow morning if things looks good.

I have a Q for you but it's a little out of the subject. Why there is no Silver members line for flights to the US?

I assumed that the premium classes would be the same as for Economy in that they would show 9's until any number less than that means that it is the actual number of seats remaining.

Eightblack, how did you arrive at the figure of 35 (and half full in Economy)? Just curious...

Maybe a dumb question but how did you see the F seatmap if you are in J?

I wasn't talking about the seatmap, I was talking about the number of seats available on emirates.com by selecting the no. of adults and seeing how many would come up available.

But I can see the seatmap of F class on EF.

Eightblack, I'm also wondering how you came to that conclusion. All I can tell from those numbers is that there are at least 4 seats available in F (likely more since A class is available), at least 7 available in J (likely more since O class is available) and at least 9 seats in Y (likely more since Saver fares are still available).

Or did you look at the seat map on EF as well?

Yep, while I know its not totally accurate, all I did was look at the seat map on EF. You dont seem to get the same vairance or movement in F (as you do with J or Y) or not at least on the routes that I fly on...
