What Questions Do You Want To Ask Skywards?
I have already reached out to the forum ambassadors asking them for their input to what questions would they like answered of Skywards. As some of you know, I will be in Dubai next month and will be meeting with the Skywards team.
Here is your chance to submit a list of questions you want answers to. No promises on being able to answer each and every one, and hopefully we already have the main ones covered. I've listed those here for everyone to see. Please feel free to post anything you want answered below (that isn't already covered). Or if you would prefer to send me them via PM, then no problems.
1) Lounge access clarity
- Access in outstations for Gold members
- Guesting in at outstations
- Access when flying on EK code share and/or partner airlines
- Guesting into the F lounge at DXB
- Guesting when on different flights and/or different flight but same destination
2) Miles earning
- What are the base miles that the Gold/Silver & F/J bonus miles based on
- Booking a flex ticket but fare conditions stating saver, what is the customer's right
3) Tier
- Threshold for qualifying/re-qualifying, is it 500 miles?
- I/O - unlimited questions.....qualification criteria, benefits, dedicated support desk etc etc etc
4) The Gold desk
- What can they do that regular CS can't
- Do they have 2 upgrade seats per flight under their control, we get different responses from different agents
- What is the actual Gold desk number and will B747-437B ever be able to get hold of it?
- Can they prioritise wait-list, push to get u that M fare?
5) Gold welcome package
- Why so many discrepancies in gifts, dates of delivery?
6) Priority Seating
- Why can't Golds/Silvers reserve exit rows?

Thanks for the topic!
1) If F or J is empty why can't blues upgrade after check-in closes? Any plans to alter this policy? (Had this a while back on a flight and J was practically empty but upgrading online showed reward upgrades as full, and the 24 hour time limit is annoying).
2) Shouldn't transfer of miles between family members and their accounts be free?
3) Any plans on allowing miles to be used against partner hotels? (IE. Using miles to upgrade rooms at Jumeirah properties, as far as I know miles are only used for EK.)
4) Just a suggestion, allowing Golds to use miles against Chaueffer Drive when flying in Y.

Base miles = 100% flex mileage.
Gold Silver and premium class bonuses are based on this. If you're on a saver fare the mileage (excluding bonuses) is halved.

Easy now Grasshopper. It wasn't my question - don't shoot the messenger. I will clean them all up and ensure we only ask things were not sure of...

Many questions from this thread:

are still valid. Did you discuss these last year, and if so, how did they respond?

The point of this is to ask questions and clarify policies/rules. I don't think we are in a position to put in request for CC or blocking seats but am sure if there is time eightblack will do the needful

The absence of this "benefit" has made a huge difference to congestion in the lounges and I would like to see its removal made permanent.
Keep the lounge for real passengers and not for the freeloading guests.
