Hi all: Anyone else had this email? i cannot seem to get a screen capture to drop into this post so I have pasted text only in.

You mean departures from DXB only? I don't see anywhere where it says only UAE residents.
Here are the T&C's
Terms & Conditions apply:
Sale period: 7th to 9th February 2012.
Travel period: 7th February to 10th June 2012.
Minimum stay: three days.
Maximum stay:
Economy Class: four months.
Business Class: 12 months.
Flight applicability: valid on all Emirates flights operated by Emirates only. Flight restrictions may apply.
Date change: permitted anytime at a charge of USD 100.
Refund / Cancellation:
Economy Class: tickets are non-refundable.
Business Class: permitted at a charge of USD 500 before departure, and non-refundable after departure.
No-show: a fee of USD 100 applies in addition to applicable refund or date change charges.
Child/infant fare:
Children (2-11years) pay 75% of applicable adult fare.
Infants pay 10% of applicable adult fare.
Unaccompanied children pay the applicable adult fare.
Check ‘Fare Conditions’ from an online quote to view these and other applicable fare conditions.
'Conditions of carriage' apply.
All fares are inclusive of all taxes and fuel surcharges. Fares may differ slightly due to currency fluctuations and/or government tax regulations as per journey booked.

I think that's what I meant to say, that it was meant for departures ex DXB. I just assumed that because none of the non-DXB based EK'ers received the promo email, that it was probably targeted at DXB residents.
