Emirates Flight - City Changes

I've got a Manchester to Kuala Lumpur flight booked 5th Feb coming back 16th Feb...due to work matters I've now got to work in China and come back on the 25th Feb.

I've tried to move my date from the 16th to the 25th Feb still coming back from Kuala Lumpur but they've told me it's £150 to change date....and then over £700 to cover the flight difference (it's economy)

They can give me a later date for just the £150 change fee and no extra cost but the date isn't suitable so I'm looking at flying back from Hong Kong....the travel agents who booked the ticket (through a work company) told me that you can't change the city you fly back from only the date....

Does anyone have any advice on this?
i.e. with emirates can you change the return flight from one city to another?
Any advice much appreciated!

Please post the fare conditions of your ticket, as it's impossible to tell without that. Also, a call to EK may be in order.

It may actually work better to cancel you existing ticket and rebook with your preferred cities.

I've done this many times - changing the departure city from Shanghai to Hong Kong and vice versa. Then again, I purchased directly from Emirates so im not sure if that makes a difference (it shouldn't really).

I would give Emirates another call and try to speak a different advisor. Give them your booking ref no and tell them you want to change to HK departure. You will get charged the £75/£150 change fee but there should be no fair difference (unless there is no availability in your class).

Thanks folks,
the change from city to city is the option I'm looking for, the fare regulation on my ticket is: Economy VER9PGB2
I've tried to get in touch with the call centre direct (shut now until monday) and have left a message online.

I recently changed the city I was supposed to fly to (ICN to BKK) and it was in the same zone. Along with favorable fares on my Y FLEX I hardly paid any penalties. And yes, I was lucky that the booking class was available.
