Upgrading on Emirates
 

I am silver member who is willing to pay a FLEX fare and have the miles to upgrade. Emirates told me that there is NO upgradable seats available on any of the flights that I have chosen, but told me to call back because seats may fee up.

Question:

How likely in your experience is that going to happen?

IF by the day of the flight, there are several business class seats available, will Emirates allow me to upgrade to business class at the airport using my miles since I am a silver member??

Absolutely Yes, you may upgrade at the airport.

I flew CGK-DXB on 25th of january this year. Was bought Economy Saver ticket.

Using Manage My Booking there was no available seats for that leg. Also, i called to Emirates in Dubai, answer was the same.

However, i arrived at Jakarta airport 3 hours before departure and at the check-in desk was upgraded to Business. ^You should have only enough miles for that (for me was 42500 CGK-DXB)

Bear in mind that before arriving to the airport, i checked once againg availability of seats. No one was possible.

Hi Guys,
i'm actually headed to Jakarta on ek 356 an returning on ek359. I saw online that both flights have only eco and bus.

Can anyone tell me what kind of seats to expect in economy and business incase i choose to upgrade?
