Missing J seats on two-class 332

I have a flight booked MCT-DXB in J on a two-class 332. The seat map on the EK website appears to be missing the middle bank of seats in row 2. Seat Guru shows 2DEF as existing.

Which is correct? Just curious.

Crew rest? :D

The seats are not blocked out. They are missing. Hmmmm....

Like physically removed? Do you think a passenger took them?

Obviously not content with pilfering the lav supplies... 'I know my rights, I paid for this seat...'

Depending on when your flight be, it might be a planned aircraft swap from a two class A330 to a three class A330, as EK regularly will sell first class as business class on lower yielding routes such as Newcastle or Riyadh. This means that the aircraft is being sold as having 54J/183Y unlike the conventional 12F/42J/183Y, in which case rows 1, 2, and 3 will all be first class in the configuration of 2-2-2 but sold as business class! Best seats if you can get them!

This flight is not until 26.4. I am flying EK 863 connecting to EK 953 MCT-DXB-BEY on a F ticket, but seated in J MCT-DXB since F is not offered on this flight.

So you are saying that sometimes a swap occurs and a three-class 332 might be used? If that happens, would I be allocated a seat in the F cabin? I gather that the service would still be J (which does not really matter on a 50 min flight). Not that this matters; I booked F for the lounge in DXB and the suite to BEY.

If I recall correctly the center section in J on the 332 2 class variant has only 2 seats in the first row and there is indeed one missing seat.

Correct sometimes a swap occurs for whatever reason leaving a three class aircraft to operate instead of a two class aircraft, however at the moment it is displayed as being a two class aircraft which puzzles me. To correct myself its the first TWO rows not THREE that are first class on the three class configured A330s. Was tired at the time! ;)

Your right! First row in J is only 2-2-2; seat 1D does not exsist. Maybe JTXC it is the first row that looks like this and not the second?
