Oh, I'd love to have that and definitely pay.
It's not a fortune and you can work, mail and IM. On long haul flights thats excellent.

Not sure I want to see this.....

I mean i suppose it is good that they give the option but the time on a long flight seems to be about the only time you get nowadays without people being able to get hold of you, particularly from the office. I like that!

Finally.

I believe Qatar and Etihad are planning to roll it out to their entire fleet in Q1 of 2012. This is a much needed service and I for one would pay for it.

Free Wifi for Skywards Golds will be nice. Haha

Flew Norwegian Air, a LCC, 2 months ago and was surprised that at least half their fleet has free wifi on board, and soon to be fleet wide.

EK is pretty late in the wifi game, even EY is faster (mid December 2011).

You'll probably still get the "This site has been blocked because it does not comply with the religious, cultural and moral values of the UAE".

There is nothing to force you to go online if you don't want to

If you do choose to go online then it doesn't mean that you have to be available; don't respond to emails, don't launch IM programmes

A computer is a tool ; it isn't in control of you unless you let it be
