EK systems down at DXB
 
For anyone flying out of DXB today, EK systems are currently down and there's a lot of chaos at check in today.

Even the MMB system was down, probably linked. Did they revert to manual check-in?

I think so. The Y check in queues were extending to outside the terminal building.

Had one of those in MAN years ago. They had a chart with the seat plan with coloured stickers on the occupied seats. Obviously your choice of pre-selected seat goes out the window. Almost got an op-up by mistake as I was using the J counter but they figured out their mistake...

I transited thru DXB this morning. Came in from LHR and then connected to SIN. Didn't notice anything more than the usual chaos that occurs at the J lounge at 7.30am...

This was at check in land side. I don't know when it started or ended, but it was going on at 1pm Dubai time.
