Which seat Dubai-BHX

We are (2 of us) flying business class Dubai-BHX on the 777-300er. I seefrom the seating plan that there are 5 rows in the front cabin, then a 6th row on its own. Anyone know the best seats to go for.
Thanks

If you can, go for a window and aisle together (assuming you want to be next to your traveling companion and not as far apart as possible). Some people like the mini cabin feel in the row on its own but for others it is a little claustrophobic. If you are in the mini cabin or bulkhead row in large cabin at least no one can recline into you but for some the window seats in this row are a little restrictive. Do not go for the last row as noise bleeds from from economy and the bassinets are right behind you ...

Row 6 is rear of the entrance door I think so pre-boarding can be busy as Y passengers make their way past.

I think otherwise. Row 6 is behind First Class and immediately left of the usual entrance door as opposed to the main bulk of Biz and Economy which is to the right of the usual entrance door.

I think the a/c in question here is a 2 class 77W with rows 1-5 in the first cabin and row 6 on it's own in the second cabin.

Having said that, there seem to be many variations in the a/c used on this route. I checked a few days on EF and some are shown as 3 class operated as 2 class, some are with rows 1-6 in the same cabin (I think old J seats).

I stand corrected - maybe ;) Thanks Ung1

As ung1 says, this is a two class only flight from BHX. I have a similar layout in a booking from GLA. I'm not sure where I read about the door positioning but it makes sense when you see the layout on MMB.
The layout you describe has Rows 6 and 7 in a mini cabin just to the left of the door and rows 8 and above are likely to be disturbed during pre-boarding.

Thanks all

Looks like i will keep away from row 6 and book a seat in the main cabin.

2 class - Rows 1-6 all in one cabin.
3 class - Row 6-7 in a mini cabin and 8-11 in the "main" cabin.

I don't think any plane has row 6 by itself except the 3-class A330 which has row 6 by itself then 7-11 in the main cabin.

On the 3 class plane I'd take row 6 or 7. On the 2 class all the seats are pretty much the same IME.

On the refurbished 2-class 300ER's with lie-flat seats, row 6 is behind the galley, just in front of Y by itself. :)

i've been on this config out of GLA. i noticed a few people requesting to be moved forward (row1-5) as they felt claustrophobic i was in 4a,b which was fine. Personally i wouldn't chose row 6 having seen it now. Suppose it's all in personal preferrance

My mistake - I guess I haven't flown a new 2-class 77W yet! :o

I just have a question about the 777-300ER, I am looking at seats 46-48 and wondering if the arm rests move on these as somewhere on the net it says that the arm rest on 46 doesn't move but 47 & 48 do...........can someone let me know as I would like these seats so I don't have to climb over hubby and another person......I only have short legs and would probably land on their laps lol :)

I will be flying Emirates BNE-SIN.........SIN-DBX..........DBX-KWI

46 will not move. The others will. I was in those seats last week with family. 46 does have about a 36" pitch.
