Stopover meal in DXB
 

I have a trip next week transitting DXB. The pax I'm travelling with have no status and I won't leave them outside while I go to the lounge. I'm told we may be able to avail ouselves of a comp. meal in Safar Restaurant on presentation of our boarding passes. My questions:

1) Is there a minimum stopover to qualify for this?
2) What is the food offering here?
3) Is there alcohol included?
4) Is there a smoking area?
5) I'm told it's above Burger King in T3. Can anyone be more specific with whereabout in T3 this is? I recall an escalator up to a restaurant at the T1 end of T3 but not sure if that's the right one.

Any other information you can think of would also be appreciated.

not sure why it says may be given (any conditions are not stated) - i recall reading elsewhere a buffet is offered but found no mention of it on EK site

I did find that page (and a few similar ones) when I was looking for information but the Safar I was told about was referred to as being in T3, specifically above Burger King, this one is in T1 so not sure if my info is wrong or if indeed there are two.

Any other replies would be greatly appreciated.

The description is very accurate. It's right above Burger King in T3. It shares a wall with the kids play area in the T3 Business Lounge. You can't miss it. There are usually dozens of migrant workers in transit lined up on the stairs waiting to get in.
