Emirates USB ports
Hi I have seen there is a USB ports on aboard aircraft with ice digital widescreen, does anyone know if I need to do anything to my ipod like change it to hard disk mode before plugging it in or can I just attach my usb cable to my ipod and ice will automatically recognize it and I can listen ti my music on it
any help please |
I plug in my iPhone and it only charges it, I dont hink you can access any music or movies. All I have seen are pdfs which I can view

I am pretty sure I read somewhere in the ICE guidebook that you could put your ipod into disc mode and play your own files. Never tried to do it though....just used it to charge ipod / iphone.

I am still unsure, I am flying away in 2 weeks and would like to listen to my music on my ipod and on ICE the menu comes up PDF, Images and another option which i can't remember i think its music

I recently traveled from LHR to DXB on the A380 in Y. You can most certainly use the iPod to play your music. I just quickly tried mine for ..... and giggles. All you have to do is enable your iPod to be in "disk" mode, it gets recognized by the ICE system, which then takes you through the options.
It's simple enough, most people should be able to figure it out. The process is also explained in the inflight guide. I think. Though, to be honest, I would rather just listen to the music directly from the iPod. The USB thing is only ever useful for me if I want to play any movies from my WD external HD. But then again, ICE usually has enough new movies to keep me occupied without having to break out my own entertainment anyways. |
