Till November, passenger numbers at DXB have risen 5.8 per cent to 80.387 million compared to 75.947 million recorded during the same timeframe in 2016. ...
With December figures yet to come, the annual growth is forecast to be about 6.5 per cent in 2017 to 89 million passengers and growth will be "incremental" to 118 million a year by 2023, Griffiths said.
Will be a huge December with 8.6 million passengers to reach 89 in 2017.

On the other hand, they've managed to transport 80.4 million passengers in 11 months or ~7 million per month in 2017. With an average of 7 million it's not unthinkable for DXB to have 9 million passengers in December, a period where many passenger travel to/from/via Dubai.

Probably not the right place for a rant....but the work inside the B concourse at the moment is utter chaos at the gates beyond the B lounge. After all that time unwinding in the lounge it just winds me up having to fight through tides of pax.

No, the renovations in and around Gate B28. I've had to leave from there twice onto an A380 and both times have been really pretty awful experiences. Cramped, noisy, dusty.

Is that near the Marhaba lounge? We were in there in December and you could hear lots of drilling and construction noise. That was before some ........s decided to have a Facetime call on an iPad and tell the whole lounge what they'd been doing for the weekend.

It was at that stage that I did the gentlemanly thing, and departed to the F lounge in A, leaving wife and sisters in the Marhaba.
