I second the runway congestion issues. I don't see how DXB can handle any more capacity without adding to severe runway congestion, even with mixed-mode operation.

Dubai airports passenger traffic to scale new heights.
An interview with Paul Griffiths, chief executive officer of Dubai Airports shows DWC will grow organically.
That's what I mentioned before would be the logical path to take.

If they build the concourse 4 building parallel with C 1-3 they will have to knock down the cargo terminal, and EK Skycargo terminal which I can't see happening. We all know how important that facility is to the EK operation.
They can't build concourse 4 on the Charlie Parking Stands either because of the runway flight path. Parking aircraft is one thing, but a whole concourse their does not make sense. Let's not forget they, load, and unload pax their.
When you look at these two pics you will realize what a tight fit they have to work with. I don't think this will be the traditional design we have seen before, expect a curvy building to match the terrain. I really want to see what they come up with at the Dubai Airshow.

Good pics roadrunner21. Good progress since we saw the last pics a month ago. In your first pic we see eight glass sections done, which is an additional two. In the last pic we see seven glass sections completed which also has an additional two. All together we have fifteen completed glass sections, with another thirteen to go. Like I already said before, at this speed we will see the exterior of concourse three finished by the end of the year.
