Building of the Expo 2020 grounds are progressing nicely. In some of the videos you can see the metro line which will also extend to DWC.

Interesting... Like last time :-

"During the closure period, airlines will be required to reduce their operations to DXB due to the significant capacity reduction resulting from single runway operations.

Dubai Airports said it has provided additional advance notice to all airlines to plan for the flight reductions and schedule planning."

First sections of the Dubai Metro line being removed between JLT, and NHT stations.

New sections will be added that will let the red line, and Expo/DWC line merge.

There'll be no big bang launch for Emirates' new premium economy class at this month's ITB Berlin travel trade show, with the Gulf powerhouse choosing not to exhibit at the annual expo.

Emirates president Tim Clark had previously indicated the premium economy seat and service package could be launched by the middle of 2018, with the 'more premium than economy' class to be rolled out across Emirates' Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 fleet.

Interestingly, Emirates chief Clark has also spoken of his interest in segmenting economy class, with the standard offering sandwhiched betweeen what could be called 'economy plus' and 'budget economy' rather than a-one-size-fits-all proposition.

Budget economy may still include free meals but advance seat selection and luggage could be cost extra – and seating in that cabin might even be 11-across on ther Airbus A380.

I went to the ITB when Emirates made their first appearance there. They were very proud of their spacious seats(their main selling point)and I remember that then they were talking of grandeur expansion plans .The general reaction then and there to them was that they were a novelty and they werent taken very seriously.Just another airline was the feeling the (travel trade) visitors had there.
What drew a lot of attention were the EK uniformed girls !
